My Apologies. xoxoxo

Sorry for any spelling or grammer mistakes along the way everyone, sometimes I'm typing in the car and the roads are a little bumpy!!!

And now...On to the Northern Terriatory!!!

El Questro - N.T.

Tuesday 20th July

Up at 5.30am Ben and I drove about 5km down the track to get to Zebadee Springs. Naturally warm springs amongst dense rainforest where you can take a dip! We'd been told to get there early before any tourist vans came through, hence the early rise!!!

After trekking for half an hour on foot through the forest we came to the springs, beautiful little swimming holes surrounded by waterfalls and beautiful forest flora. We couldn't help but be surprised by the warmth of the water and it wasn't hard at all to get in and relax. We swam around for about half an hour but after seeing a leech like fishy thing I immediately thought of a scene out "Stand By Me" and told Ben we had to get out or I thought he'd lose his "you know what"…hehe! But there were more people arriving by that time so it wasn't such a bad thing anyway.

Back at camp we packed up and said goodbye to our gorgeous little camping spot, we went and bought an official El Questro sticker for the car and got back on the road. One thing I forgot to mention about El Questro before was the Bulls that roam around the camps there. One in particular was charging pub goers the night before, and the thing was bloody huge!!!! Having the big bull hanging around our ute made it hard for us to leave without being scared of getting in its way, this thing had balls…big, huge, hairy ones. (slightly bigger than Ben's!!!)

So Goodbye El Questro until next time. xoxo

Onto Kunnanurra we go! After about a three hour drive with a few stops on the way to take pictures of massive Boab trees and Creeks with funny names like "Black Flag Creek" we reach Kunnanurra, we only passed through the small town but we could tell this was fishing territory, Barramundi in particular. After stocking up with supplies and a quick look in the visitors centre to buy some maps we made it another 100kms up the road. We were now in The Northern Terriatory for the first time. Where the speed limit is 130km/ph and the feeling of isolation is a lot more apparent.

We found a great little rest stop called "Saddle Creek" where we pulled up for the night. The sunset over the flat red horizon was beautiful and as we sat there eating our wild mushroom risotto and tofu we couldn't help but think how lucky we are. xoxox
